Back in 2002, Mohammed Elmasry expressed concern that his human rights may be curtailed as a result of the battle against terrorism. Perhaps now, one could argue that hundreds or thousands of innocent lives will be saved by severely curtailing the rights now enjoyed, and abused, by Elmasry and his fellow promoters of terrorism
Like many in the Muslim community, Mohammed ElMasry sees that "human rights culture" as being put in danger. He fears the powers given to police in the anti-terrorism bill are colliding with the individual rights upheld by the charter, rights he and many other Canadian Muslims feel compelled to defend.
Remember what this man said on the Michael Coren show, and now listen to his use of the language of rights and tolerance for his own genocidal ends:
We are a small community in this country, but we have to speak. I think the charter is really a very dear thing to the hearts of Canadians.
And I would not be surprised if he gets away with it.
