Persecution of an anti-Islamist newspaper in Bangladesh posted by David Murrell, WatchDog Newsletter
Over the last two years, the persecution of Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury for his anti-radical Islamic and anti-Muslim terrorism position by the Bangladesh authorities under the direction of the government has been much reported on.
The reports have brought into sharp focus that while Choudhury espouses values, morals, ethics, principles and opinions consistent with our Canadian thinking, the thuggish Islamic Bangladesh government does the exact opposite.
Our government's High Commissioner to Bangladesh website is:

Note this other Canadian government website stating that since its inception in 1971, Canada has been one of the major players in supporting the development of Bangladesh.

What purpose is there to our government spending our tax dollars on supporting the development of a nation that has a culture and values inimicable to our own?
Does our government seriously hope to effect a change in the anti-Western culture and values of Bangladesh to make that culture more compatible with Canadian values?
If so, what proof is there that all this Canadian aid over all these years is bringing about the hoped for benefit?
And as for the fate of Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury is concerned, what if anything is our government doing to protect him from persecution at the hands of his own government?
