The irony of submitting to Chinese fascism (at the Canadian T.F.)

The original reason for the Canadian Tulip Festival came from Princess Juliana, when in 1945 she gave 100,000 tulips to Canada in appreciation for Canada allowing Dutch royalty safe haven from European fascism.

The irony is that, circa 2008, this same festival bends to Chinese fascists, who demand that a Chinese band -- which has Falun Gong members it --should not be allowed to play music! It seems to me the organizers of the festival forgot the origins of their own festival.

To be sure, the themes of the festival have been softened to that of "international friendship", etc., as discussed in the above link. So apparently the organizers' idea of "international friendship" is to be pals with Chinese fascism, and to discrimminate against those who suffer from Chinese human rights abuses.
