Thank you for your reply of April 02/08.
The ultra liberal analysis that the US multiculturalism has managed to create an atmosphere of peaceful coexistence between mainstream America and the Muslim population of the continent is questionable. During the last five years, the media brought to our attention hundreds of incidences of Muslims breaking the laws of the land simply because their religious commitments are not compatible with the law. From Muslim cab drivers operating in a variety of major airports refusing to accept customers carrying liquors into their cabs, to Muslim clerics in the US Army passing information to Syria about inmates in Guantanamo, to Muslim female FBI agents providing valuable information to Hizbollah, etc This proves beyond reasonable doubt the notion you highlighted that "Muslims are a distinct group who do not become a part of the country but try and use the country's freedoms for its own purpose".
It proves also what Muslim theologians, from El Azhar El Sharif (El Azhar University Cairo) have been teaching to generations of Muslims for the last six decades +, since the emergence of The Muslim Brotherhood Movement. The Muslim Ullemas key argument has been that : " A Muslim's loyalty to The State (any country) cannot be complete, unless The Ruler and The Rules are Islamic (based on Sharia)". For those who know the Arabic language, here is the exact Arabic statement " La yakounou walaoul muslimi lilhoukmi taman, illa iza kana al houkmou wal hakimou Islamian". Historicaly the Muslims have established a notorious tradition for assassinating their rulers simply because they were not deemed/perceived to be good rulers relying on Islamic rules based on The Sharia. Among the victims of this tradition we can find The Prophet Mohamad's own family members including his grandchildren Hassan and Hussein, and his son-in-law Imam Ali. Today this same approach is being used by radical movements in Palestine to indoctrinate suicide bombers by pointing out that we failed to throw the Jews back to the see because our rulers were not true Muslims. Allah punished us for giving up on The Sharia. Look at the "Divine Victory" Hizbollah achieved in Lebanon by humiliating the mightiest army in The Middle East in the summer of 2006. We should all follow the example of Hizbollah, become true Muslims, and soon Allah will shower us with more military successes against all the oppressors who dared to invade any Muslim country, especially Afghanistan and Iraq.
I would like to clarify also the following critical point: I am advocating the ban of the conventional Koran, promoting hatred, demonizing and dehumanizing peolple of the book (Jews and Christians). I am not against the use of Koran where the venoms of hatred are eliminated and generations of Muslim children learn only the genuine spiritual values of Islam.
My advocacy of the ban of the conventional Koran is based mainly, among a long list of other considerations, on the legal argument that Muslims are not above the Laws of the Realm. Do we allow history professors, deniers of the Jewish Holocaust, to promote hatred without prosecuting them? Do we allow White Supremacist Groups to spread hatred against blacks or any other visible minority? Why did Canada prosecute Zundle, a well known Holocaust denier? Why do Canadian judges impose stiffer sentences on hate motivated criminal acts? Why should we allow Muslims to promote hatred against the mainstream population who values the Judeo-Christian tradition? Is it simply because Allah has instructed them to do so in the "Holy Book" called The Koran? Or because we have to tolerate their long-established tradition of fighting rulers and ruled who do not govern a country according to the tenets of The Sharia? Do you want to be governed by Sharia laws?
